Manufacturing process of Disodium EDTA
Step 1: Raw Material Selection
High-quality EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid) and sodium hydroxide are selected.
The raw materials are tested for purity and quality compliance.
Step 2: Neutralization Reaction
EDTA is dissolved in purified water to form a solution.
Sodium hydroxide is gradually added under controlled conditions, forming Disodium EDTA in solution form.
Step 3: Filtration
The solution is filtered to remove undissolved impurities or particulate matter.
Step 4: Crystallization
The purified solution is gradually cooled to induce crystal formation.
Step 5: Centrifugation & Drying
Crystals are separated using a centrifuge to remove excess water.
The wet crystals are dried under controlled temperature to obtain Disodium EDTA.
Step 6: Milling & Sieving
The dried product is milled and sieved to achieve a uniform particle size.
Step 7: Quality Control & Testing
The final product undergoes assay, purity, pH, moisture, and microbial testing to meet IP/BP/USP/FCC standards.
Step 8: Packaging & Storage
The final product is packed in HDPE drums, kraft paper bags, or polyethylene-lined bags based on customer needs.
Stored in a cool, dry place to maintain stability and quality.
